Correct adwilk...... I resemble that Idiot remark...These issues are tough. I'm torn between the value of civil liberties and the moral values I grew up on, both of which are what this wonderful country is founded on.
Jamie is an idiot and has no idea what he's talking about...
Actually, he's exactly right... these threads go almost nowhere. No matter what side of the fence you might be on, there's almost no argument from the other side that will make you open minded. In such cases, they are hopeless issues and all you can do is vote. (insert sarcastic sigh here)
I love it......LMFAO....I thought that this thread involved there being hope of me getting a new TV. Imagine my disappointment as my hopes were dashed. The irony burns me like a white hot flame.
The one thing last years election showed us, was how didvided the GOP really was. It wasn't until Palin joined the ticket that the two side felt they had a voice and even that couldn't change the inevitable(thank god for that, but we all know God had nothing to do with it). Mr Schmidt is right in his wisdom, but I think he is being overly optimistic. I'm sure he hopes his party will evolve and one day embrace change but judging by what I see on this forum alone, forget the news it will always black & white(sorry for the pun) or in this case gay & straight.Well I argree with the guy.In my opinion the Republican party has lost its way and will continue to lose ground since the Bush regime. After 10 years of taking away our cival liberties its amazing that they(repulbicans) are still here at all......wake up USA change is now stop *****ing and go with it. Or don't and be unhappy for at least the next 4 years....I still say politics have no place in these forums.People just get pissed and start attacking other folks because of their views.....nobody wins..........ever.
Hey Adam, sorry about misleading you, it wasn't my intent. If its any consolation and makes you feel better, I can't decide if I'm going plasma or LED, either.I thought that this thread involved there being hope of me getting a new TV. Imagine my disappointment as my hopes were dashed. The irony burns me like a white hot flame.
He is wise beyond his years and the fact we share a common POV doesn't hurt. Why would a gay union change anything in our lives, people need to get a life. These issues are tough. I'm torn between the value of civil liberties and the moral values I grew up on, both of which are what this wonderful country is founded on.

Agree, but have you ever see a miserable gay person! Jk... I know a fewGay couples should have the right to be just as miserable as straight couples in the shackles of matrimony.
How is that possible? They don't accept evolution Maybe divine intervention will help them out.... I'm sure he hopes his party will evolve...
touche'....there is hope.....How is that possible? They don't accept evolution Maybe divine intervention will help them out.
It's up to the people who read and post to maintain civility, but it's no different from people discussing these topics anywhere else. Some will be civil, some won't.I still say politics have no place in these forums.People just get pissed and start attacking other folks because of their views.....nobody wins..........ever.
Apparently, in states that allow gays to marry, that's exactly what is happening. Gays are splitting up as fast as everyone else.Gay couples should have the right to be just as miserable as straight couples in the shackles of matrimony.
This is exactly why I left my former political party and burned the bridges on my way out by publicly slamming their position during an election campaign.
Well I guess your in the same boat as most Canucks... the political landscape in this country is rather drab IMO. Having now burned that bridge your like most of us, it obvious by the turnout in the last election, we need an overhaul! This is exactly why I left my former political party and burned the bridges on my way out by publicly slamming their position during an election campaign.
"The best way to destroy an enemy is to make him a friend."Oh Ya, There is hope, especially now that obama is bowing to the saudi king and making friends with hugo chavez, Right lot's of hope. I do have hope though, the hope that he doesn't destroy the country with his class warfare....
I think I remember reading something about this in the New York Times. It's been almost 6 years since same sex marriage was legalized in Massachusetts, and the proportion of divorces after 5-6 years among those gay couples is very similar to the national average among non-gay couples. As always, the only people who truly win are the lawyers .Apparently, in states that allow gays to marry, that's exactly what is happening. Gays are splitting up as fast as everyone else.
Clint for President!!!!Personally I think the real problem is republicans opposition to bestiality... I mean who are they to judge?
