My Apartment "Man Room"

Hey guys,

I was waiting on my amp to show up, but now I think I'm ready to put up some pics of my "man room."

First, the view as you enter the room:

The view from the couch:

The rack:

Sub, speaker, CDs and Snoop Dogg:

The couch, surrounds, mini-fridge, laptop, and Shih-Tzu:

There it is! I'm still using HTM-200s for center and surrounds, but have a CMT-340 SE center and two CBM-170 SE surrounds in boxes for when I get a house.

Thanks!

Wow, bet your neighbors are ready for you to get a house just as much as you are, nice system. What receiver is that?

That's a great room. I'd love to have an extra room that I could do that to.

Great looking system man. How does the Emotiva sound when compared to the Yamaha stock amplification section? I have been speculating on getting one.

I just need to cut back on all the crap I have in my apartment. Seeing great pics like this make me jealous of organized uncluttered rooms.

Oh, by the way nice setup man. Nice and clean, I like it all.

For those who have asked:

1) The receiver is a Yamaha RX-V663

and

2) The amplifier SEEMS to make explosions and the like more powerful, but I'm betting it's psychological. It's not like I'm driving the Ascends very hard; I don't ever turn anything up beyond -25 dB (already had the cops called once), so I don't think I was really taxing the Yamaha to begin with.

The only reason I got the amplifier (and more sub and speakers than I need), is so that when I DO get to move, I don't need to upgrade everything. It SHOULD fill a larger room pretty well, I believe.

Nice setup! I like the yamaha/emotiva combination. I am tempted to do that myself, but I think I am going to hold out for the umc-1 :D

That stuff on your sub does not vibrate off??
Any well designed sub should shake the room and not the sub itself. My sub isn't near great but I've never had anything fall off of it. Everything stays in place well.
