I decided to finally take the time to take pictures and show what my current setup looks like. It is in an apartment, so wire management is a little out of control, and the speaker setup is less than ideal, but it sounds pretty good!

Equipment List:
Yamaha Rx-V640
Sony Playstation 3
Sony DVP-NS500V SACD/DVD Player
Klipsch RP3 Mains (W/Built-In 10" 400W Subs)
Klipsch RC3II Center
Klipsch RB25 Surrounds
Sony KDS55A3000 Display

Plus a bunch of misc. cables, Compaq PC, Cable Box

Sorry about the large picture size, I did these on the HTPC, and now on my little monitor they don't work so well

Very nice!

BTW, in the reflection off the TV's lower glass panel - is that a violin that you're holding? :D J/K, man!

That looks like a nice little system. I'm not sure about the screen shots, though. They look exactly like the resolution of my PC monitor.:p

thats a nice setup.........how's the centre channel sound? i like the look of the rears too. might be worth checking out some klipsch for my new system. i'm trying to find some nice book shelves/centre for my other setup without breaking the bank

Nice system. The wiring does not seem out of control ;)
Can't you lay the rear speaker wires going next to the left wall? It would be neater.

And I'm very curious about that basket on the left. I would say it is a wire basket :D Can you post a close up?

Nice! I like the TV stand, is your floor uneven?
Thanks!

Yes :) the floor is uneven, and the rear projection tv likes a level surface.. And now looking at the picture, I think I need something a little more aesthetically pleasing to level it out

It's not bad, the system sounds amazing for movies, and pretty good for music. For an apartment setup I can't complain! I also was able to get the Mains and Center for a song. The whole speaker setup was under $1k

Oh, it is not pretty! There is a actually a fireplace on the left wall that juts out into the room. That was the initial location for the wires, but the wife didn't like it and suggested putting them under the rug  so that is where they stay!

And yes, you are correct! That is a wire basket. Several USB cables, a couple of PS3 controllers, headphones, etc.... and no, no closeup :D

Wait a minute!! :D J/K

I know that screen shots really don't say too much, way too many variables. But I wanted to give it a shot, and pirates was in the PS3, so you get to see the results!:)

Very nice setup I love the TV if I didnt want a new plasma so bad that was the set I wanted.looks very clean .You can get leveling legs for your stand that are simple to install ,a drill and a 3/8 drill bit, they have them at the blue and orange stores, kinda like a t-nut with a 1/4 20 bolt and a chrome or brass foot very low profile and does the trick.

Thanks, I love the tv, great picture, great color reproduction, and the price was great.

Yeah, I have looked at the leveling legs... Next time I move I will do it, just been too lazy to take everything apart and set it up again! :D

Very nice equipment selection, especially the speaker and display. The stand looks like a Sanus. I have a similar one in the master. Too bad you can't mount the display on the wall. That stand would make a great place to put your center channel higher.

Keep us posted on your progress. Well done!

I am not a great fan of the stand... It's a little too high for the display, and I agree, the center is too low. I think I might get a lower stand someday, and put the center over the display.

I am hoping to add some emotiva gear (umc-1 and upa-7) at some point. I just need HDMI switching, and something to accept HDMI audio so I can use the SACD capability of my PS3.
