This seems to be the common rhetoric and banter of many folks. But I think its very untrue.
How has your freedom been limited in the last however many years? Give specific examples that are the direct result of the government.
I have not been limited except in areas where it is necessary. For example. I'm not allowed to drive 100 MPH on the interstate, but this is for our safety and with the drivers on Texas roads I think the limit is to high at 70.
Let's see, freedom to do what I want with my own money starts to come to mind. With the amount of debt we are piling on, and the current budgets, it is going to either cost $80 for a loaf of bread, or I will keep just 10% of what I earn. Something has to give at some point, and it will.
Those choosing to stick with the party lines, and or afraid to step outside their comfort zones for true independent thought processes tend to think it is simply rhetoric. Anyone failing to look at the situation completely objectively may see it in such a manner. The truth affects many, usually in two distinct ways, they either get very defensive & angry, or they laugh it off as a joke when confronted with it.
