Yes The bass is great in that movie and wasnt really expecting it, it hits HARD Buster btw I dont think he likes his b-day present anymore. In one of the explosions I think he jumped 4 ft straight up in the air and then took cover .

Well I calibrated it using the avr if thats considered calibrating with the mic and maacc but havent used the spl meter and Avia yet . Ten minutes for you Mike is probably 10 hours for me : ) I think it did a pretty good job I Mean it sounds good . It set my speakers between -4- to -3 and the sub at -2 and I have my gain on the sub bewteen 8 and 9:00 position . all myspeakers I set to small and freq cutoff is at 80 on avr and off on the sub. Oh I have it on the ported mode with none of the ports blocked and set accordingly on the sub. I dont have ratatouille but I think I have incredible hulk but its the one just before the new one came out. But I have The Dark knight, Iron man and that one Master and Commander. Few other new ones I havent seen yet, i've been collecting blurays and faithfuly not watching them because I was saving them for when I got the ultra . I do plan on using my spl meter though maybe tomorrow or the next day I hope or for sure by the weekend. Oh and I have the room comp off for now but was thinking of trying the large as recommended Last edited: Apr 2, 2009

My couch was shaking and there was bass I couldnt hear but could feel and sometimes both. It doesnt give you that under watersound type of bass, the sound is very clean and clear . Well back to the movie just wanted to give you a quick update . Im so happy I cant put it into words Click to expand... Thanks for posting the pics, Factor. As Cruise and I talked about, it's like us experiencing the intial thrill of having the Ultras all over again! It goes without saying that movies and music are phenomenal. I highly recommend Master and Commander on Blu-ray; that first battle scene with the multiple cannons firing and wood splintering is AWESOME! BTW, the rosenut finish you have is beautiful!

ParadigmDawg Audioholic Overlord Apr 2, 2009 #148 That kind of looks like a little girl sub.... You guys always talk about how big it is, it looks like a normal size sub to me, guess I need to look up the specs and see how big it really is. I am really curious how it would stack up to my sub. Anyone around here have one and live close to the DFW area? I hate to buy one just to try it out.

browninggold Junior Audioholic Apr 2, 2009 #150 Maybe you can get the size w/this picture The sub is next to a 6T Aperion tower Attachments 010.JPG 74.2 KB Views: 354
ParadigmDawg Audioholic Overlord Apr 2, 2009 #151 It is deeper but shorter than my sub, the width is the same. I guess it's not a girl sub. browninggold said: The sub is next to a 6T Aperion tower Click to expand...

Im more than happy with its performance, what amazes me is how graceful and accurate it is with music and I've only watched one movie so far but its a performer , I haven't experienced anything like it best upgrade to date!!! It really compliments my system. Hec the combo makes my speakers sound better and I was totally happy with them before .

TheFactor Audioholic Field Marshall Apr 2, 2009 #156 Setup Pics : ) Ok I picked up a 27 by 40 movie pic and had it framed in wood of The Dark Knight to try and get a little Theater warmth going on lol and pulled out a couple of my Rosenut Humidors and set them up on the end tables to try and blend the the Rosenut ultra in and I think it worked pretty good . Let me know what you guys think oh and a couple more unpacking pics , it wasa a challenge by myself but went smooth
