I do agree about the lead solder, it is crap, thats why I have 'borrowed' from my dads place a nice long real of British Rail leaded solder!
I once again stand by my view that SCART is the best SD connector, it is vastly superior to composite, unless you are using a very old piece of equipment that only passes a composite signal through it. SCART is easy to use as it can pass most SD video signals and its almost impossible to use incorrectly.
Can we actually get back to my original question as I don't think that we will ever actually be able to convince each other that SCART is good or bad.
So will I be able to get an s video signal by using the method I said, or will I have to build this here,
