The Incredible Hulk...Finally got around to renting it

All I can say is wow. I should have rented this a long long time ago. Before listening to this movie, I turned the sub around (180 degrees) to fire along the back side of the couch as opposed to out into a wall and it was so cool to feel and not just hear the bass. It was a great movie, one I have to add to my collection.

That version of the Hulk is much better than the one that came out a few years ago. I really enjoyed it, Ed Norton is a great actor. I've seen twice, once on standard DVD with my Dayton sub. I rented it again recently on Blu-Ray and watched it with my Kappa DIY sub, the difference was night and day. And the scene with the sonic cannons....

The Blu-ray version's transfer is truly INCREDIBLE. It's the first disc I bought after getting my BD35 - damned impressive indeed.

That was an awesome battle scene - great ear-candy. I also love the chopper crash...

Great Movie I rented it and liked it so much went to go buy it when I thought it was on sale and bought the 1ST hulk movie instead but actualy after I watched it I thought it had some great sound and audio to .

Borrowed this from my dad last night. I really was less than impressed with it. IMO the audio wasn't as great as many have said. The movie itself only had moments of fun here and there, but overall I really just didn't like it. I thought Norton did well, and it was fun to have Stan Lee in one of his more interesting cameos, as well as Lou Ferrigno in there as well. The CG scenes didn't do it for me and most of the supporting characters felt very extraneous; almost useless to the story. The action sequences were weak and far and few between; certainly not enough to hold up the rather weak story.

I actually just rewatched it tonight with the new sub and surrounds and I liked the movie the first time but damn!!! What bass!!!! My girlfriend just looks over at me and smiles as I am chuckling with glee. It shook the whole couch for half the movie!

That is exactly the scene I was referring to , but there is some good bass in the rest of the movie as well. Also not a great movie either, but I was at least entertained for most of it, unlike this movie. I commented on that bass drop in the Max Payne thread too - it lierally shook everything in my house Listen to this one with your volume average first, because I think that scene could be a sub killer if you don't have a hefty sub.

People raved about the bass in Transformers too, but I wasn't blown away by that either. My sub is more than up to the task

Any idea what frequency that was? That was the scene that made the neighbor come over and complain. Even my girlfriend, who wouldn't care if the speakers were tin cans on a string, was impressed.

Not sure, but it sounded like it went from somewhere in the 40s or so and swept down to mid to low 20s, because I can tell by some of the things that rattle in my house - they rattle at very specific frequencies (found that out with test tones). It was the fact that it was a fairly sustained tone and VERY powerful that made it so impressive IMO. It was on par with War of the Worlds for sheer shaking. I rewound it and replayed it about 5 times in a row

I've been meaning to rent WOTW again, when I first saw it I had my Dayton SUB-80, I've since upgraded to a DIY Kappa Perfect 12
