Mike, I don't wish to argue but you are taking it way too seriously. I will refrase my staement, All the rap that I have heard is crap. I also would not get into or deliver any violence because of someones opinion on music. There are way to many things more worth fighting for then that. So, if I offended you it was not my intention but I will keep my opinion and hopefully no one is beating you up for yours....

if i were to arrange that from I like to not so much:
it'd be Shad, K'naan then K-O's

i guess you could pretty much guess what type i like. but then again, i don't really care about the lyrics, it's the combo of the lyrics, beat and melody that catch my attention. that's why i never get Eminem or Jay-z, people argue that they're pretty good rappers ... me on the other hand absolutely don't like the tunes/music they attach to their rap which i also think do not match at all.

then again, i find songs through the radio, so if they're not playing on the main radio stations i never start to like them.

exceptions are the rap songs that are heavy with cuss words that would definitely get murdered when sterilized for radio.

i like Snoop Dogg's Doggystle album, but absolutely hate his others.
Dr. Dre's Chronic - but no others.

i'm kinda liking Flo Rida and Akon specific songs nowadays ...

I like Timbaland - he's got some pretty good beats.

i never liked eminem or jay z either, i dont like there voices or the sound of their music. I also agree about snoop dogg, his first album sounds great but everything after that is garbage.

Ok, I gave them a listen. I liked the crabbuckit tune but the guy has a good voice and it was a good tempo he actually sang the song so I don't consider that Rap. The other 2 especially Shad were crap I guess I might be thinking more about gangster rap because to me someone that just talks thru the whole song in a monotone voice is just a headache waiting to happen.

I would say a good 99% of the rap that I have heard is trash, and that's enough for me to say that a genre kinda blows. Something about having the same drum loops through all the song...Although maybe I should revise what I said and say that all mainstream rap sucks XD
