i believe the ps audio power plant premier to be the ultimate power conditioner. however it is on the expensive side. they also have some power strips that are quite nice. have seen they're power strips on sale for something like 50% off.

Has worked well for me thus far, and has features/specs similar to the three units you mentioned in your first post. It's street price is also less expensive than those units.

The Power Plant Premier is nice; 80% efficiency adds to running cost. I'd still plug my Furman IT-20 into it. +/-~60vac vs. +~120vac fits better with my idea of how electromagnetics works.

I run it off a Tripplite 1500VA UPS; short blackouts are not uncommon during rainy season. Tripplite also makes nice plugstrips of various length.

Furman AR-15 II Voltage Regular

This voltage regulation stuff got me thinking, since the voltage here varies constantly between about 108 at low up to about 118. So I was looking around and found this: http://www.furmansound.com/product.php?id=AR-15_II

I got one on ebay for 30% off list.

I'l put it between the Tripplite 1500 UPS and Furman IT-20 II Balanced Power.
It regulates to 5% and consumes only 6Watts.

Are there any conditioners that don't do that annoying clicking crap when the input voltage sags. I've got a 2 channel nearfield setup, so when the line voltage drops my Tripplite clicks in accordance to the drop. I hate that. I mean, I understand that voltage sags but c'mon I don't wanna hear about it - that's why I spent $ on a power conditioner, right?

djreef, there are but they cost a wee bit more. I have three Tripplite Voltage rgeulators and yeah that clicking noise can get annoying and there is no way of silencing it. I bought two Monster AVS 2000 Signatures when they were on closeout from Circuit City at 299.00 (retail is 1699.00) somebody screwed up royally on that one but hey I profited. Althugh I feel Monster doesnt do anything different than Tripplite, the difference is the Monster puts out a constant 120 volts where the Tripplite only engages if the voltage drops below 112 or goes higher than 127. The other thing is the Monster never makes a single sound ever. Although I dispise Monster for the business practices, I also know a good deal when I see one, hence the only reason I bought those two AVS2000's But yes do a search and you should find some units that don't make that clicking noise.

I was checking out that Mcintosh. I realy don't know much about all the technical stuff, but it says 1350 watts total current draw. One of my poweramps draws 5500 watts under test conditions. So how would something that's rated at 1350 watts work for me.
