As I indicated in another thread, if given the choice I would still go with the DTC-9.8 all over again despite the CS issues in the Onkyo/Integra world. It's still a bargain in the dedicated pre/pro market and now that I have a perfect one, I'm kind of over my frustration. I'm like you in that I place a high value on CS. O.K., so Integra's not the best in that regard but sometimes it is a balance between that and what actually exists in the market to choose from. I wanted a dedicated pre/pro with my Rotel and didn't want a redundant amp section in a receiver so my choices were limited, especially given that Emo and Outlaw still haven't released their latest versions yet.
Anyhoo, I see you have the Denon on the way. Congrats. It's a nice unit and the Denon Personal Memory Plus is one great feature that's incredibly useful for fine tuning individual sources and settings. When it arrives, do like the Dawg and throw the manual away and ask the forum how to set it up. Trust me on that.
