Well i shot some of the Wolf ammo yesterday. It cycled through my rifle really well. Im impressed for the price i paid for it. I didnt do any accuracy tests though. I stepped out on the back porch and blasted a full clip through it and no issues. Im going to get more! Matter of fact I already called and have some on the way :D And as the funds are there ill pick up more along the way ;)

Peace,
Tommy

I had a Stag arms lower and it was great, it was mated to a CMMG upper, but that rifle was stolen in home breakin a couple years ago, and it's been replaced with a RRA Entry Tactical. I wouldn't hesitate to own a full Stag Arms rifle, but I'm not left handed either... Their stuff is good, it's supposedly the same manufacturer that makes stuff for another large company, but they won't say who.
Yeah, I'm one of those goofy guys that shoots a pistol right-handed but a rifle left-handed. (I'm left-eye dominant.)

I'm sure tempted to go after a new one .......................................................................

Has anyone had any experience with the Stag Arms AR's? Any info is appreciated.
I've done exhaustive research on the AR stuff. Stag is a great quality choice... espeically if you like/need the left handed option. They are on the same level as RRA, Bushmaster, & S&W from what the consensus seems to dictate. Put another way... you won't make a mistake with a rifle from Stag.

Hey Clint... have you had a chance to get to the range and try out that target I sent you? I'm anxious to see how it worked for you and if you were able to gleam anything from it.

Finally!!!!!

Bring the thread back to life. Well after waiting waaaaay too long for an RRA carbine that I finally figured would likely never arrive anytime soon, I cancelled my special order, got my money back, and drove as fast as I could to the shop across town and picked up this... a S&W M&P Tactical.

Troy Industries makes the Rail, the sights, and the gas block for S&W and these are literally the components I would have added to the standard rifle I was getting. Figuring in the cost of the standard rifle, $1,250 plus the additonal parts I would have ordered, it just made more sense to go with this rifle for just a bit less than it would have cost me to build. Right now, there are no bargains to be had and the owner of the shop was upfront with me in telling me that he couldn't move on the price since he was unsure when, or if ever, he could get another M&P tactical to sell. At least he was honest with me and I can respect that. He did throw in 50 rounds of 556 however.

Anyway, I'm stoked. Now I just have to decide on optics and figure out a way to hoodwink the wife into letting me spend another few hundred bucks for optics. :D

Very nice piece, did the Pmag come with it. I just sent a USPS money order out this morning for 3-30 rd Pmags NIP from a local guy. Ive been getting a few hundred rounds a week stocked up for a long day of plinking in the near future :D.

I have some items i would like to trade if anyone is interested. these items are used lightly, but are in new condition.

Black A3 carry handle with rear sight 6/3 (Bushmaster)
Black cheekpiece with storage compartment (Cherokee)

Local guys only please for face to face trade. Any offers for trade should be made in PM. Pics available via email if you like.

It came with a standard mag. I've been picking up Pmags as they come available here and there. You can get them, you just gotta be vigilant and quick! You can still get them for the standard $15 if you look around, but a lot of places are gouging selling them for $20-$30. From what I understand, availability is starting to come around. All the crazies have been buying the mags and ammo in huge quantities. I think they're either starting to run out of money or they've realized that having 100+ pmags and 20,000 rounds should maybe be enough.

Big Government is scared that the sheeple are arming themselves for what might be comming. Im not at all worried about the ban on "Assault weapons" i dont own any weapon that has "assaulted anyone" . I will go as far to say this, Ammo and Rifles are very hard to come by these days. Its all being bought up :D That fact excites me, the fact that people are exercising one of their constitutional rights.

Since December 2008, the city i live in (population 6,500) has had 9 home invasion robberies. All were forced entry, the victims were pistol whipped, and robbed. I wish some of them had a weapon and knew how to use it. if so there MIGHT have only been 1 home invasion that ended in the perps getting just desserts.

Peace,
Tommy

Thats funny.....but there is already a law in place that makes hunting with a magazine, holding more than 10 rounds of ammo, illegal. the law will not apply to any mags already owned. They just cant make and sell any more till the law is lifted again. the same rifles that accept 30 round mags were sold during the Clinton administration, they just came with 10 round mags.

Peace,
Tommy

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Has anybody had a chance to shoot one of the Glocks chambered in .45GAP?
I currently own a Glock 32 and was thinking about picking up the smaller Glock 33. I'm really a fan of good ol' .45ACP, but the Glock 39 has me thinking a different route.

The .357SIG ammo that the Glock 32/33 are chambered in can be tough to find. One of the main reasons I like .45ACP. It's probably just as tough to find .45GAP ammo, though.

But it does have it's appeal to me for carry.

If you need 10 rounds to shoot a deer, you need glasses. Plus nothing beats wrangling one and killing it with your bare hands, then eating it's heart.

I hated the .45 Glock I shot (borrowed). I have large-ish hands, and it still was much too large for me to feel comfortable with. A standard 1911 with a few tricks is the gun for me.

I've already got a Colt Double Eagle Officers in .45ACP. It's a nice compact double action version of the 1911. But it's still heavy. The Glock 33 is a mouse of a gun. I just don't know much about the .45GAP round. Seem like a cut down version of .45ACP casing would lack the punch. But they say it doesn't
