To further clarify the problem with the question.
It's like asking
What's better a Car or a Truck?
Each has their application, and use.
Budget also comes into consideration. If you are looking for a great sub to own.
Then I give two suggestions. DIY if you can pull it off. Or SVS.
I know there are other options, but I know SVS is a very good company and has a very high quality product.
For DIY just build a pair of Kappas. I doubt you could do any better for the price. There are sealed options using a JL Audio sub. Chris has stated this numerous times in numerous posts. He, Andrew and Dr. Mark are all very knowledgeable and helpful. So I suggest you check out anything said by TLS Guy, Aversfi, and Wmax. Those guys are experts in my mind. I've learned most of what I know about subs from their posts. I am very grateful to have them here. Along with many of our other great members.
You can do a search for posts by a forum member and you will glean a lot.
I can understand the question I've been in your place before. It's all so overwhelming at first, but give it some time and effort and you will understand it.
Many people have built the Kappa Perfect and can testify to it's legendary status on this site. Many members make it one of their ultimate audio goals to have 2 of the these in their systems.
