I magnified the image as much as I could, but could not read the dimensions, but what I can see looks OK. I could not tell if any braces were drawn. The driver lay out is fine.

Well the cabinet is 7.8" width x 13.13" depth x 35.82" hight, i'm really not getting the meaning of "braces" here, i'm getting lost during translation. What do you mean with, there's no braces drawn?

An enclosure that big without braces, will ring like a barrel.

Here is a view of a braced enclosure under construction.

I hope this helps.

Make sure you use the appropriate safety equipment when handling rockwool.

that's what i want to know. if what i showed you in the piecture is rock wool, 'cause i'm not shure, the thing what i showed you in the picture seemed to be made of cotton.

It is hard to tell from that picture, but that looks like felt to me. Rock wool is also called mineral wool.

This is the definition of the product.

Mineral wool insulation refers to fiberglass, rock wool (made from basalt, a volcanic rock, and limestone) and slag wool (made from blast furnace slag). In addition to the use of rock and slag wool for insulation of pipes and many other industrial, appliance, and transportation uses, it is used in batt and board form in commercial buildings for fire-resistance and acoustical absorption. Mineral wool batts are made primarily of rock wool. Unlike fiberglass, batt widths and thicknesses vary among manufacturers.

I have no idea of you have it in Mexico. Check with your local building suppliers and see if they have something that fits that definition. If you can't get it I would use Polyfill, but that is second best.

seems that my "only" option will be polyfill, 'cause i can't find rockwool, my last chance to get it, will be homedepot, but i will go there till next week, in the other hand i can get polyfill pretty close to my office, in fact just around the corner. if i use polyfill, do i have to compensate sound any how? maybe in the crossover, or in the cabinet?

lastly how thick should i go with the polyfill when i pasted on the cabinet walls? the one i can get around the corner is like 1/2 inch. and in the other presentation by weight.

I would use a layer of that fiber you showed and then a layer of polyfill. Just cover 50% of the internal area, but make sure the back wall is covered.

Please be good enough to review this thread.

I would also appreciated it if you would post your questions on that thread in future. That will save me time and I will only have one thread to watch. Thanks.
