hey , guys im new to this whole spkeaker thing so i decided to try something else besides those HTIB ones. I found the KLIPSCH F-1 system (2xf-1s,1xc-1,2xs-1,1Xksw sub) for 940$ + free shipping, i was wondering if theres anything better for this price range? i looked and looked and could not find anything else for this cheap. Its a small room and im really on a budget , what do you guys think

Hey man don't know much about those speakers other than many people like them, and I haven't had the opportunity to listen to them. I just wanted to tell you that your thread may get a bit more attention in the "loudspeaker" forum.

Have a great day.

Not a bad price for that system, but many people regard the SVS 5.1 system as one of the best ones for around $1000.

The SVS sub beats the Klipsch, and in general, you will often get a better sounding speaker by picking a bookshelf over a similarly priced floorstander.

hey osmosis
first of all welcome to the forum
about your question i think many here if not all would recommend buying really good fronts then waiting then eventually add other speakers eg. surrounds, rear surrounds, sub etc.
also many here really cant stand the sound of klipsch speakers but i find its all personal preference so as lonng as you enjoy the sound of them and cant find anything sounding better to you in your price range well i would say you would go with them but be sure to have heard them first like i said alot of people dont like them.
on the other hand that is exactly what i have as my setup f-1s s-1s c-1 and the sub and seriously love it! i bought mine as a package but if i was to buy again i would buy fronts first then add to it then you would obviously end up with your setup a more high quality one but as i said i own these speakers have them hooked up to a denon avr-789 and cant get enough of them
anyway have a llisten to a variety within your budget and if you cant find anything you would rather listen to then the klipsch speakers go with them
hope i could help
Tim

If you can't listen to Klipsch then I don't suggest buying the system. See if you can't find a place that sells there brand of speakers. Then give them a listen. If you like them buy them and don't look back.:;)

If you have an Ultimate Electronics near you I believe they also carry Klipsch and have listening rooms where you can audition them.

They only exist in Oklahoma now as far as I know.
