Ok, first of all i'm a noob but do know a decent amount about the technology i'm talking about as i sell it on a daily basis and implement it constantly... anyway.... i have a panasonic 42pz80u tv and am considering a ht system as i dont have one now for the area where this tv is... it is a living room that opens to the kitchen and the opening of the house... it is wired for surround 5.1 style.... i am really interested in yamaha's recievers as they have the custom tuning mic with them, ie yamaha 563 receiver, it has all the hdmi inputs i need and all the audio outs i need... my question is with a polk TSi300 floor standing as the front and two polk TSi200's for my rear with a polk PSW111, polk cs10 as center, is this gonna be enough to satisfy, i'm used to nothing and want to step up but dont want to spend HUGE bucks on it.... other thoughts and opinions are very appreciated

Size of room?

Pre-wired--cool! How big is the room (including ceiling height) and how large is the kitchen/entrance area it opens up into?

i am really interested in yamaha's recievers as they have the custom tuning mic with them, ie yamaha 563 receiver, it has all the hdmi inputs i need and all the audio outs i need...
Yamaha makes solid receivers. However, many receivers these days have the automatic set-up/EQ feature. Having experience with both Yamaha (RX-V659 and RX-V563) and Denon (988), I found the Denon Audessy based EQ to be more accurate and customizable, but it was also more complicated to implement.

my question is with a polk TSi300 floor standing as the front and two polk TSi200's for my rear with a polk PSW111, polk cs10 as center, is this gonna be enough to satisfy, i'm used to nothing and want to step up but dont want to spend HUGE bucks on it....
Will depend a lot on the room size question above. Are you saying you already own this speaker set or are considering one like it in it's price range?

If you share your budget we can better help you get the right system for you.

Also do you want to listen to music primarily

or watch movies.

Do you have or plan to get blu-ray?

Are size and aesthetics a concern?
