Doesn't sound like my light engine is going bad. No halo, whole screen just seems faded, blacks are where they are suppose to be, just faded, same with all the other colors. No bleeding, no complete white. Uniform fading is the best way I could describe it.
Deep Field imager might have gotten turned to DEMO when I reset the system, to see if that would fix the problem. I don't believe I had the line prior to reset.
Thanks for the info, it was hard to find specific info. I read a lot of horror stories on CNET, but not a lot of info elsewhere. A lot of people are having good luck with these TVs. When it works the picture is great. If I was buying another DLP, I would definitely get a LED powered one. If I didn't have the extended warranty covering everything but the lamp, that is what I would be looking at. I like the big picture.
I question why I bought something that relies on a light bulb, and a fan to keep it cool. Seems like old tech. I get my new bulb today, hopefully that will fix my problem.
By the way yettitheman, great looking TV. You have a rather spacious pizza box.
