I have an odd question but not sure if anybody has any possible simple solutions. I have Direct TV at my home and as many of you know Satellite Radio also is broadcast through Direct TV. I have a dedicated 2 channel sytem in my family room that I want to get satellite radio for. Is there any way to pull that information directly from the satellite on the roof to the reciever for the stereo? I do have a cable outlet on the wall that is connected to one of the satellite output. I would just need something that could attach to the wall recpeticle and decod the signal, right??? Any ideas?

Seriously, I have no life.
If your satellite receiver is in the same location as the stereo, just use the analog audio outputs. If it's not, you'll either need two cables to carry the stereo audio to the receiver or you can use the digital coax output on the sat receiver, run that to a converter next to the stereo and then connect the analog output to the stereo. You can't just connect a stereo receiver to a satellite feed. You could get another satellite receiver for that room and not only have the music channels but TV, too.

I do not have nor want a TV in this room, hence the issue. I have no satellite reciever boxes anywhere close either. My closest box is about 40 feet of cable away. So I would have to run a set of outputs basically from my Kitchen TV up to my attic and drop it down the wall to where my reciever is at. I was hoping for a better option. There may unfortunately not be.

Highfigh has given you your only options. The decoding of satellite signals is proprietary.
