So the display in my old HT consisted of a Mitsubishi 48" rear projection TV. I ended up selling that and getting a 52" Samsung LCD that I really like. I had originally bought a very large entertainment center, because I hated how the old RPTV stuck out 2 feet from the wall. The entertainment center I had looked good because it fit flush with the old TV, but it was just too darn big for my condo.

It looked good, but it took up a lot of space in my living room, plus it made the room too dark, because it blocked a lot of light from the lamp in the right corner. Also, I had to install some fans in the left cabinet to keep my electronics cool, because I liked to keep the door closed.
So I bought a new rack a few months ago, and put the entertainment center up on Craig's List. It took a while to sell, because I kept getting scumbag low-ballers offering me less than half of my asking price, ($500). Well a couple of days ago, a guy from Stockton, (about a 2 hour drive), contacted me and said he would come pick it up today. He came and got it and I spent
ALL DAY today re-doing my set up. My back is
KILLING me. I must have set everything up 3 times, because every time I set it up, the cables from some component wouldn't reach.
Set it up this way and the power cord for the TV doesn't reach. Set it up this way and the cable TV cord doesn't reach the cable box. What a pain in the ***.

I can't believe how many BD's I've accumulated.
There's a lot more room in the living room now. And the whole room looks brighter now that that giant entertainment center is gone. I've got to do some experimenting with toe-in of my fronts, but I'm sure that my imaging will be improved since the fronts aren't so far apart anymore.
The rack has a frosted glass door, but I think I'm going to leave it off to keep the amp and receiver cool, especially the amp because I don't like how close the shelf above it is. There's less than an inch of space between the top of the XPA-5 and the shelp. For some stupid reason, there's about a 6" gap in the holes for the shelf right there, so there is no way for me to put the shelf any higher. I guess I could try and drill some holes, but with my luck, I'd end up drilling through the side of the cabinet.
