The way this works is that back in Sept. my sister's husband died quite unexpectedly. She wanted me to help her set up a home theater for her little girls to be able to enjoy now that much of her time would be spent out of the house. That's where I (and you) come in. The biggest obstacle was that she just thought that $5,000 was crazy money for that. I sold her on it by pointing out that:
1. It would be great for music. All her girls play instruments so they're into it.
2. It wasn't for her. It was for the girls.
3. Her grown boys in their 20's would be around to do Movie Night @ Mom's.
Over Christmas I went down to Oklahoma with my g/f and spent the time with them. I set up the system. I've only ever set up a couple of older H/K rec'rs so the Yammy 663 was different enough to be a challenge. I got it working but not calibrated by Christmas eve. Everybody thought it was awesome. People in Oklahoma are easy to please. I got it calibrated somewhat over the next few days and engaged Memory Guard before I left. Her daughters have been using it ever since.
My sister just called to tell me that her son's were over to do Movie Night @ Mom's. She thought I would be proud. She seemed very happy about it and I got to pass the word along that their movie of choice (Dark Night) has the AH stamp of approval.
My time and your efforts here at AH have been used for the powers of good.
