RCA vrs Digital

I've just replaced my DVD player with a BD and would like to use the DVD player as a CD player. My question is should I use the digital (coax/optical) or analog (RCA red/white) outputs. This will only be for standard CD's.

I would still use digital, but it should work fine with either. For stereo, the receiver will be managing the bass management in either case, so I don't think it matters too much. If the player has its own bass management (which it likely won't if it only has stereo analog out - R&W), make sure to set the front R&L to large in the player so the receiver gets a full range signal.

Thanks for the reply. I'll use the analog/rca and save the digital connection on the receiver for a component that can really use it.
