If you had to pick between the following for a Christmas present which would you pick?

Little Dot MKII headphone amp/preamp

or

Little Dot MKIII headphone amp/preamp

or

M-Audio Mobile Pre USB
Behringer ECM8000 calibration mic

or

Dewalt DW618PK router

Since my sub out on my receiver is broken I can no longer build a sub. I am also getting a pair of Fostex FE206 drivers to build my first DIY speaker. I already have a rotary saw but the router would make my life easier. I can't decide!!!

If this is a present for yourself I'd have to say the Router. It'll help with your future prdjects and you can't go wrong with new tools.
Though the MK III does look cool!

They are all pretty tempting for sure, The MKIII looks sweet.

I was going to reccomend the Hitachi KM12VC router since i only paid $120 for mine from amazon but I see they have gone up in price by 40 bucks since I got mine, so now its closer in price to the dewalt. :(

So between the Dewalt and Hitachi which would you go with? I like that Dewalt because it comes with both fixed and plunge base and has gotten very good reviews everywhere.

I dont know, My local lowes has the hitachi and probably the dewalt too so you can check them out in person, They both offer the fixed and plunge base and are both the same HP, soft start and variable speed. and they both have about the same average rating on amazon, the hitachi is cheaper but also a little cheezier looking with its fake chrome things.

My brother has that DeWalt router. Seems to like it a lot. Can't tell you myself, don't know squat about wood working.

Thanks for the heads up Haoleb. I think I am going to go with the Hitachi and save me 40 bucks. That way I'll have some cash left over for one of those Jasper Circle Jigs and a roundover bit. If all goes well with my first speaker project I might never buy commercial ever again :D

Fixed that for you.;)
Nah I have only owned this thing for a little over a year. I think I bought it around October of last year which is sad on Yamaha's part. Funny thing is when I called my friend to tell him about it he told me that his sub out also went out on his old Yamaha receiver as well. He owned it for around the same time as me as well before it broke. Sorry to say this is going to be my last Yamaha receiver and next time I will be going with Denon or Marantz.

I'd say go with Mk III
It doesn't cut your fingers off if used incorrectly

If you choose to purchase a Little Dot amp. Do some research. I don't remember which one it was. But one of them has/had a arcing problem. It might also be the one that sounded the best, and was preferred buy it's users out of them.

Pick the one you would use the most. Since I already got the LD MKIII I'd guess I'd go for the router. :)

I use the LD MKIII almost everyday so it's a pretty good item to get.
