SVS SB-12-Plus or HSU VTF-3 MK3??

Hello everyone,

I interest of upgrading my Klipsch Sub-12 to one of the above. From what I've researched. Both have great reviews, but I have a hard time choosing.

I welcome your opinions. I'm leaning toward the SVS since everyone here seems to like them. Plus, sonicboomaudio.com is the only site in Canada that selling it. Thanks!

I'm very happy with my SVS sub and with the customer service that I experienced with SVS. I didn't go through a third-party distributor, though. I think that Dave, a member here, had some hiccups with getting an amp replaced in his SVS that he bought through Sonic Boom - hopefully he'll see this and chime in to verify that or correct me.

I have no direct experience with Hsu or their products.

the direct SVS competitor both in price and specs to the HSU VTF-3 mk3 is the SVS PB12NSD, the SB12 Plus is a small sealed sub and has aesthetics and small size as its main design function.

Ok now that I have a look at the PB12NSD...it's actually a bit cheaper compared to the HSU. But what is your opinion though? SVS or HSU, quality-wise?

Prior to Sonicboom opening up, thier sister store was electronicsforless and they carried Hsu subs. I had the opportunity to audition the Hsu stf3 & stf2 and they're excellent subs. However IMO the Hsu didn't quite have the extension of the pb12 or the pb10 respectively. Another thing of note regarding the Hsu subs was their cabinets looked like they were slapped together and the svs design had a seemless edge which IMO was another plus.
