Wow, that sure is a lot of hair. Don't feel too bad Matt as mine is thin too. I bet your wife had a lot of heartburn throughout her pregnancy-am I right? The reason I ask, is my ex-wife used to say all the time that she read that heartburn during pregnancy usually means the baby will have a lot of hair. Sure enough, my daughter had a lot of hair! Trust me on this one-it did not come from me! Anyways, congrats once again to both you and the wife. This will be a very special Thanksgiving to remember for years to come.

We are taking Katie up to see a cardiologist tomorrow in Tucson. She has a heart murmur from the day she was born but it still hasn't closed up on it's own yet. Hopefully they will be able to fix it with medication only but to be on the safe side we are getting her checked out.

Children are stronger than you can imagine. My daughter was such a accident waiting to happen that I wanted her to wear a helmet when she started to walk. She had knots on her head and bruses everywhere.Thank god all our friends knew she was a walking disaster or we could have been taken as abusers.She earned her nickname" Grace". Katie is a beautiful little girl and she will be just fine Matt. My prayers are with you buddy. Its way harder on us parents than the kids , which is a good thing. Shootin good vibes your way......

Matt, my daughter also had heart murmurs. Over time it cleared up. I do think, however, that it is a good move that you and the wife are having everything checked out. It is always better to do that than to worry yourself sick over it. I have been and will continue to keep you all in my prayers. Sending warm feelings your way as we speak. Well, my baby is good to go! Doc says she does have a small hole between the left and right ventricles but it's small enough it should close up on it's own without meds or any other intervention. We have to take her back in 6-8 weeks for a follow up and then again in about a year. The doc said continue to treat her as a normal baby and very likely everything will be fine.

We gave Katie her first bath tonight in anticipation of family coming in tonight and tomorrow. She going to be a natural swimmer like her dad.
