How to show DTS/THX/DD Trailer

I wasn't sure where i could ask this question but here goes. Basically i have a bunch of the dts/dolby/thx trailers you sometimes see in the theatre. And i was wondering how easy it would be to have some of those play before you start a movie. I know it sounds kind of cheasy but i think it would be cool.

Dual players perhaps? It wouldn't be seamless, and would require switching sources once the trailer finished - some movies already have those trailers built into the DVD. I think the theaters use dual projectors for such things, so it could possibly be the HT equivalent to simply use two players.

I was thinking along the lines of an media center PC. You could write a script that will launch the trailer then the movie if you have programming skills or possibly using a program with a good playlist feature that can play the trailer from then the movie form the playlist.

Though it is a cool idea it seems like a lot of work.

I don't think you will be able to do what you are looking for easily, unless you know how to author dvd's, then maybe you can include a trailer in your disc.

thats what i figured but i would rather not have to re author over 130 dvd's. Maybe when i get a dedicated theatre room i will use dual projectors one with a time delay turn off.

That's a lot of cash for a second projector just to show a trailer prior to the movie starting. If you have that kind of money to throw around, I'm moving in! :D

Not really. it's not like i would another 1080p projector a 720p would be fine and those are only a couple of hundred bucks. But fine on the moving in but you will have to compete with my cat glitch :).

I'd love to have like projectors perfectly overlayed. After you do the delays, then use them both for the same source. Tons of lumens.

ya no kidding get like 4 1080p projectors and make on huge uber defined display 2160P baby :) but at that point you might as well just get a 4K projector :)
