My Security Hat ...
One of the tips that I picked up here on AH is not to post pic's of myself. I'm not in any of the of the pic's. ... \
What's the rational there, my friend?
Oh, were the pics taken in RI? Some of the background looks familiar.

In most cases, a picture of yourself is okay.
What you need to be careful of is to "display" or provide any information that could be traced back to you. Identity theft can and does occur.
Some examples of what you don't want to do:Don't put you full name and address in your public signature; usually town or town and state is okay.
Be careful of pictures of your house that might contain the address on the house or pictures of your car that show the license tag.
Phone numbers are bad also; don't give them out.
If you want to provide contact to someone, it is almost best to set up a separate gmail or hotmail account and give that to another person. The if something goes wrong you can cancel that one account.
When you provide information in a public forum, it is not longer private. And the worst part is once given out, you have no way to fully retrieve the information.
Also never, never provide any personal or sensitive information to an unsolicited email response. Call the compnay back on their published phone number or make contact directly with them, with contact you inititate.
