Speaking of Emotiva. What the heck happened to their processors and receivers? Are they back to being all amps (and sort of) speakers now?

I believe they are still waiting on the chip manufactor.

Yep, they were waiting on Cirrus Dual Chipset to be completed prior to rolling out their new version of the LMC, the UMC. Now that the mfgr has completed its testing (I believe), Emo will be going through a QC cycle (I'd guess less than two months and this processor will be available.

The big gun processor, the XMC, will be (hopefully) later this year as it should be using the same chipset, but with additional functionality and components to the UMC... -TD

The UMC is supposed to sell for $699.00. Returning processor customers get 40% off on future processor purchases. That means I can buy this killer pre/pro for $419.40 . I have a LMC-1 and LPA-1 Amp and I love the setup. I bought this combo for $800.00 in July of 2007. The Amp is 4 ohm stable, 5 x 125 watts and two more channels are 50 watts each. Runs cool too!
