Zack and Miri Make a Porno: Hardcore and Hilarious.

Greetings, happy Remembrance Day/ Veterans Day.

Seth Rogan has become quite popular in the "frat pack" movie group (IE, stupid but usually funny guy movies). Lately, I had become tired of his acting style and the roles he had been playing. I really enjoyed his performance in 40 Year Old Virgin, but disliked him in Knocked up. Now he was in a new movie about making porno's... I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

I can safely say I'm glad I did. The movie was hilarious. His character finally seemed at home. This movie is loaded with crude lines and raw, raw imagery, but it worked. Not everyone will agree with that, which is fine, but it doesn't bother me. I was also surprised to see how much merit the story actually had.

Zack and Miri are both broke, barely scraping by on their pay checks, when they get invited to a High School reunion. While attending the party, Miri hits on an old crush trying to sleep with him in order to catch him into a relationship. Turns out he's gay, and makes pornographic films with his life partner. When Zack find this out, he starts asking what it pays, and gets far more detail into the gay porno lifestyle then he was hoping for. It is after this meeting, that he realizes the answer to their financial woes, is to make and star in their own pornographic films(they have some internet popularity power due to a video of Miri in granny panties being posted on youtube).

After gathering a cast full of some talented individuals, they set out on their first pornographic film, Star Whores. They go through some setbacks such as a set being demolished before their rent was up, as well as personal conflicts between Zack and Miri.

That's enough spoiling for now. I wanted to give a taste so you would know where the movie is going, as the trailers are a little vague.

This is a turn your brain off at the door kind of movie, so please keep that in mind if you decided to watch it. BTW, Lots of boobies, and R rated language. Full frontal male and Female to boot.

I heard Kevin had to argue with the board to get it dropped from NC17 to R and he was able to do so. I really want to see this, but I had to work all weekend.

There were some really hilarious parts.

Superman was in there (Brandon Roth). I was thinking, "How they hell can you go from Superman to this?"

Justin Long (Apple/Anti-PC guy from Die Hard 4) was in there.

I thought the movie was kind of gay - Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Overall, it was okay. I was not disappointed or anything.

You mention the 2 guys that played gay actors, and then you call the movie gay. Interesting, have you ever heard of Freud?
