Hello. I'm new to the forum and I realize this thread is 11 months old at this point. Yes, my Marantz SR5012 cannot play Tidal Atmos through the Heos app, but it will do H-Res Max, and the same thing through the Android app and Tidal Direct. BUT.........it will play Atmos/surround through my Cogeco TV - Epico Android box and the Tidal app, sent via HDMI into the receiver. I would assume all the newer Android boxes will do this. I use a 7.1 setup with no height speakers and some music sounds amazing in Atmos/surround. I was very skeptical and it won me over. But most classic rock is terrible when converted to this format, lol. Newer stuff can be great.
