This happened at the college I attend for my graduate degree. The campus consistently rates in the top 5 most conservative in the nation - so do note conservatives have an overwhelmingly strong voice.

Not only did this happen one time, but twice on two separate days. While I will support free speech strongly, I think it is hard to argue that this type of negative speech/action has real value regardless of ones belief, just like the example you showed.

No side is infallible the most fervent supporters seem to forget this.

Politics in the USA has reached the point of absolute laughability. Instead of talking about any of the actual issues, we focus on the tabloid headline BS that has no bearing at all.

How about talking about the Global Poverty Act, which Obama and Biden have been sponsors for. Global Poverty Act is just the Congress name for the UN Millenium Goals ... both would provide some pretty shocking reading or discussion, if anybody could get passed the superficial topics.

Are you sure that's the link you wanted? Because it contradicts you, and confirms what I said. In summary, Obama has met the woman in question, but they have not remained close and not kept in touch.

I went down to the Registrar of Voters. It was just down the street from my work. I was thinking it was going to be simple since it was a day early. Boy was I wrong! NO parking, LONG lines. I had to take a number and wait to be called.

The weird thing is, they didn't even check my ID!!!

I have to say, I signed up for Rock The Vote ... and they were kickass about sending e-mail reminders, voting locations, helping me get registered... I just got a phone call from them reminding me to vote tomorrow too (Already voted early, but still good for a reminder in case I hadn't).

I know this stuff shouldn't be hard, but, I'm forgetful about stuff like this sometimes so the reminders were tops for me.

I just looked into voting today in Md but it is not available. The funny thing is I will be voting tomorrow on a measure to add early voting in MD. Who knew?
