welcome, little more info on the connections and where the sound isnt comming from--the tv or your surround system..

HDMI cables from AVR to TV & DVD.

No TV sound through AVR - TV itself sounds great.

Make sure sources are working properly.

My Yamaha has a setting that asks whether the HDMI sound will be given to the receiver or passed thru to the TV.
It's possible, although I'm not a Denon guy, that this setting has been changed to TV audio. Check your manual again.

I don't know the settings for your AVR, but most require you to set the source of the Audio. Is it set to HDMI as opposed to optical or coaxial?
