The look that I imagine on Tommy's face when it actually hits him that he's a father:

Hey, that is great news. :D
Hope everything goes well. If she is not a risk for anything, it should go well:D
First time for everything. Don't take too many pictures; save some for the 2nd kid:D

You should try and get some rest. You're gonna need it over the course of the next 30-40 years.
This whole birthing process is tough on men. Take it from me, a two tour veteran ... Ugh ... :D

You know you have my best wishes. ;)

Hang in there, Tommy! I know that I am, and I'll bet that we all are, anxious to read about how it all went. A very exciting time for you three.

Congratulations. You know that vid that Adam posted with the bug eyed animal...it's not too far off. I remember the feeling the first time I saw my first child. That when the enormity of the event really hit about how my life had changed. Being a father changed from being some academic excersize to a very real yet exciting and joyful burden of responsibility. Even if you don't look like that bug eyed woodland creature, I suspect that you will feel like that on the inside.

Just hang in there buddy. You have to remain strong in times like this. At least, that is what I was told when my daughter was born almost 20-years ago. ;);) But, truth be told I was about to crack!:eek: It was very stressful. However, very much worth it in the end. I know you can handle it Tommy. I am here if you need to talk my friend. You should know my #. Just wished I was closer and could offer more support. :):)

Cheers,

Phil

Thank you to all who kept My wife, daughter, and me in your thoughts and prayers. Last night on 10-13-08 at 12:10 am we became proud parents of a 8# --19.5 inch baby girl :D She was taken by C-section at Shands UF (Go Gaotrs!!:p)due to complication.

This has really taken a toll on me. Ive had a few hours sleep since the start of the thread (Yeah i know...im whimp! :D) The hardest thing for me was being made to leave my wife in the operating room. They made me go with the child. i will try and get a photo or 2 up when i have more rest.

Thanks Again,
Tommy
