Sleeping Beauty BD/DVD

It looks like Disney got this right! Bluray includes DVD copy of movie in same package. Now you have a copy for the main room and one for kids room or take along in the car. When all the studios start doing this I'm on board.

Really? That makes things very interesting considering Best Buy has a $10 gift card offer if you "mail in" (prepaid) a Disney DVD using their prepaid envelope. Also you have to purchase the BD in their store. I wonder if you could keep the BD and mail-in the DVD and get the $10 card.

I thought it was a digital copy, not a DVD, meaning you can copy it to some other device but the disc itself will not play like a normal disc. A number of recent releases have had this, though the digital copy is SD no HD.

Amazon does say "plus bonus DVD". WALL-E preorder says digital copy.

This is how a lot of people would've preferred that HD DVD handle its combo discs with a DVD copy included on a separate disc rather than on a different side. The only disc I ever recall doing it that way was Dreamgirlz. (It's an adult disc from Zero Tolerance. It was a two disc set with a HD DVD and a SD DVD.) The studios don't like to do that because they fear that someone will buy the Blu-Ray then sell or giveaway the SD DVD. They (as usual) think that that is money out of their pockets.

Cool, might actually buy this one then, or wait a few weeks and pick it up used.
