Speakers and Recievers

I have an older kenwood reciever which I like, but HUGE pioneer speekers, I would like to purchase atleast new surround sound speakers, Im happy with my sub, What would be the best bang for my buck? And one more silly question? If money was no object what would be the best reciever and speakers? Ok OK how about 1500 on reciever and speakers. Best brand and type?

There is no best brand, or type. Audio is a very personal thing. What I like you might not like, and vise versa.
