After a great 5 years, my wife officially became an American citizen yesterday at Fenway Park here in Boston. Among the attendants was a retired Red Sox player who was from Cuba. His last name began with a T I believe. I don't follow baseball so don't recall the name; some Bostonian I am!

Check out the actual "Joe the Plumber" video. This is why I am voting for the guy. He truly 'gets it'.

The thread was baited by virtue of its very title. What could be an otherwise pleasant thread about someone's wife gaining US citizenship (congrats by the way ;)) has left itself open - if it degrades into just another all-hands free for all political battle, therein lies the reason.

When did they start requiring citizenship to be able to vote? Must be an Eastern seaboard thing.

Well, my dad isn't a citizen, but they always call him for jury duty and ask him at the RMV (MA version of the DMV) if he wants to register to vote. And people are worried about ACORN

Very true.
I was of the understanding the only requirement was one had to cry out, that they felt disenfranchised.

What exactly are his lower proposed tax rates? Right now middle class is 25%.
That would require little known things, like the facts, the record, and the truth.
The story of the "Emperor's New Clothes" has none of those.
