Brought out my old 1978 JVC JR-S400 Mark II receiver today. It has been in a closet for probably 10 years or more. Couldn't remember if it was working or not when it went into hibernation. Well hooked up my semi retired Pinnacles to it, added our very first {RCA RC5220P} DVD PLAYER { also in hibernation. OK I have a problem with getting rid of old electronics
} player to it, threw in Elton Johns Greatest Hits {seemed appropriate}. And aside from a few meter lights not coming on, it fired up! Took the lid of and blew a couple of decades of dust out of it, and let it play awhile. Its 80 watts per and kind a hoss. Here's some pictures. Next maybe I will go down and bring up my JVC JL F50 turntable, stored in it original box...then maybe my JVC JC 1770 top loading cassette deck. I still have the JVC brochures, manuals from this stuff and my store receipt. Receiver $450, turntable $200, cassette deck $250 & $250 for used JBL L-88's.
