Yeah, the player would have to be proprietary. I wish you could just load HD material in one file on a portable drive and plug into a ps3 or the wiselink on my TV. Still a ways to go before thats practical due to drive formatting issues. These machines use a FAT32 drive structure that does not handle files larger than 4gb. I'm curious to see how thats handled. Similar to DVR i'm sure.

By the way, if anybody knows how to play HD video larger than 4gb on their PS3 or similar device from a flash drive or portable hdd i'd love that info.
