Hello. I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on purchasing wireless speakers for a stereo.

Thank you

Welcome to the forum, trekman!

There are a few different options out there. One is to go with speakers that have the wireless receiver built in. Another is to get a separate wireless system and hook it up to a set of regular speakers.

There have been a couple of reviews on the Audioholics site for speakers with the receivers built in, this one and this one. I had looked into a couple of wireless systems to use with my regular speakers (mentioned in the thread here, but prices have changed) - there are other wireless systems that contain built-in amplifiers.

What sort of stereo are you wanting to hook up to this?

May I ask why you need a wireless system? Is running speaker wire not an option?

Thank for your replies. Our stereo is in our living room and the wireless speakers are going to go in our dining room which is on a seperate level. The stairs are hardwood, so we can't hide the wires.

How far is this distance? And is there no attic, crawl space, or baseboards to run wire?

Unfortunately wireless speakers are not wireless, they need power. Unless you want to change out batteries.
