I shouldn't bid on E-bay in the middle of the night

Last night I thought I cornered an Infinity PC350 for under $50. Nope. I was bidding like a madman on a !@#$ing 2-way PC250. (I hate 2-way speakers.)

End of rant...

So I take it you are now the proud owner of a speaker you don't like? That sucks. I did something like that recently on some inwalls I was looking at. Fortunately someone outbid me and I was not stuck with them.

HAHAHAHA! Beer goggling with speakers? This just strikes me as the audioholics version of a coyote-ugly story. :)

BTW, sorry for your pain...

Common, the pictures on that auction are HUGE! How could you not notice?

Pretty hard to tell the 250 from the 350 with the grill on. With the grill off--count the missing drivers...

Jay, I hear you on the 2-way/3-way thing. However, to me, 2-ways belong on surrounds if at all. Just like you guys are prejudiced towards your Def Techs, SVS's, etc., I hate 2-way speakers. (Yeah, that means I hate most satellites, in-walls and bookshelves, too.)

I can probably sell the thing on Craigslist for what I paid maybe less shipping. No, honestly I'm worried that I might like the thing (and that I bought the wrong !@#$ing speaker). It's just a center. It's not like I bought Bose or white van stuff.

While you were on there, they have any Primus 362 at a decent price?

Easier said than done.;) Amazon is teasing me right now with them at $127ea.
Yeah, but that's through Electronics Expo that'll charge you $49 in shipping each. Well, that...and they only have three left. If you're gonna give in, might want to do it soon!

You know, it will probably cost me an arm and leg to drive my truck up and back to Fry's in Tucson. Then you figure in taxes....doesn't look so bad adding those expenses in.

Edit: I caved in and ordered them, lol.

Congrats on the new speakers!

I was thinking that the Fry's deals were normally online only, so you wouldn't have to worry about the drive. Also, Fry's is in Phoenix (we don't have one in Tucson)...so if it was in-store, that would be one heck of a drive for you.

Were they? I tried to find the one's Allargon posted from the Austin store but couldn't find them.

I swear there is a Fry's in Tucson....ok I just looked it up and it's a Fy's Food....off Houghton Rd.

Honestly, I don't know about those Primus speakers. I know that they had deals on Polks that were online only.

Yep. I've got one just down the street. Apparently, they have good steaks there...but sadly, no electronics. They should build a Super Fry's - groceries and all your A/V needs, all in one place. :)

Well if we ever do have this GTG I'll have about four sets of floorstanders, three pairs of bookshelves, three subs and a few amps to contribute.

Now is that really neccesary? :D I just had to laugh when I read that.

The PC250 is the replacement for the C25. Before the new look of the XX2's came out there was nothing better in the Primus line for centers so it'll be just fine if you give it a chance. Don't listen to Adam. :p He's just a big meanie. :D

Also you have the advantage of smaller size. The PC350 is pretty large and it's not easy to find a home for. This whole thread cracks me up so thank you for sharing. :)

It depends on the store. Some areas will have the deal in-store and others will not, and some deals are online only.

I have 2 within 5 minutes drive and 4 more within 15 min drive :D Frys was actually started on the basis of food and electronics - and Playboy LOL. They had porn, snacks, and electronics - a nerd paradise when it first started up. hahaha. (yes, I was there a lot...because their prices are good too!). It was one big showroom with a bunch of computer parts, a magazine rack and some chips.
