Hey guys, I need some help choosing a HTIB system. Nothing too special, just for a room. I already have one ordered, but they dont have it in stock yet, and I still have a chance to cancel the order...

This is the one I have on order:
Code:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882121044
Is there something here that's better (around the same price..)..
Code:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2000310501+1237514946&name=5.1
I'm thinking maybe this one?

Code:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882120083
Any help greatly appreciated, I need to do it quickly before the order gets shipped if i get another one (so i can cancel it if needed)

Thanks

+1, sometimes its better 2 get a better set of mains(L&R) and a receiver, than not get alot of reward for your money.

I saw a similar HK HTIB system at costco that included their 347 model receiver. At least when it is time to upgrade the speakers you would have a decent receiver.

The Onkyo HT-S5100 system is the #1 seller right now on Amazon for HTIB systems. It is $416 from Amazon at the moment (cheaper than at Newegg). That's just a bit more than the HT-S4100 system that you are considering.

the Onkyo HT-S5100 actually sound ok for music use, I have a friend that picked it up... As for movie performance, it is quite good. For the price I was thinking of picking one up soon to replace my aging Panasonic htib that only have 1way sats.

Thanks for the suggestion, that looks good.. Can I use that just as a 5.1 system though (its not that big of a room)

I sure bet that you can. You can check for sure by looking at the owners manual direct from Onkyo at this link here (just pick the system name from the list). If you have any questions about it, just let us know.

Looks like it can do that. I'll probably buy it tonight (unless someone can find something better around the same price)

Thanks a lot for the help :D :)
