Samsung LED DLP, 67A750
I just purchased the 67A750-- I can say that it is a HUGE improvement over my 61" Samsung DLP I purchased 4 years ago! I sit between 9-14 feet away, and it's the perfect sized screen, IMO. I haven't done any calibrating yet, but watching the opening ceremonies for the olympics was an immersive, almost like being there experience. I have a huge wall of windows opposite the TV, and it's plenty bright with minimal reflection (although the bezel is glossy black, which does reflect a bit). geometry of the screen is almost perfect-- it's off by 1/4" on the top, but the other three sides are spot-on. I don't know if exchanging it would be worth it, it seems like most people have some degree of this-- I don't know if I would have noticed it if I wasn't looking for it. Overall a GREAT tv for the money-- I was considering a Pioneer Kuro Elite 60", but for a third of the price and 7 extra inches, it was a fairly easy decision to make. I was also considering the new Mitsubishi 73835, but decided against it, mostly d/t HDMI handshake issues and a less than glowing review on CNET. Although, I think with calibration either TV is going to be a good deal.
