Anybody upgrade their video card lately?
If so, what did you change to, and how much of a difference did you notice while gaming?

I believe you're asking the wrong question.

If you want a new GPU you should start be enumerating the following points:
- what game you want to play
- at what resolution
- you'll play with a CRT, a plasma or a LCD?
- how much eye candy do you want
- if you're willing to reduce resolution to increase eye candy or the opposite
- what system do you have (motherboard, cpu, ram, power supply)
- how much are you willing to spend

After this you can ask "what card should i buy?"

The most important factor to consider when buying a video card is intended playing resolution. After all there is no point in buying a $500 video card if you just going to be playing at 1024x768. After resolution comes the game(s) you want to play and what setting PQ wise you would like to achieve with that game.
