i would think you would need at least 500w at 4ohms for the CS-Ultra

the Behringer EP2500 is around 350 bucks and will run ANY subwoofer you can think of :)

I have used it before with a 200W amp and that was still pretty decent. The Outlaw would be good for 300W into 4 ohms. You'd have to step up to a 600W amp just to get an additional 3dB sound pressure from it. Not to say those extra 3dB aren't nice :D The Outlaw does have auto-sensing power and no fan like the Behringer, but if you want the brute power then your $350 would be best spent on a big pro-amp and just modify it to quiet the fan.

I happened to update my orlando listing for this today and it has 4 photos. If you want something higher-resolution just let me know. The first pic is with the base removed, normally you can't see what the woofer looks like.

Ok so the Outlaw will work, just not shake pictures off the walls is how I am understanding it, which is good because I live upstairs in an apartment and dont need the temptation ;). How far would you be willing to drive to do a delivery? I am in Tampa, so I am assuming that is out of the question. I dont know if I can receive PM's but I know I cant send them, I am going to send you my information through your craigslist ad. Do you want cash or paypal? Thanks and cant wait to hear this bad boy. I am going to order the M-2200. Cheers

Thanks,
Joe

Funny you say be careful, I got arrested b/c of them! I have been redoing my house and havent lived there in a year, since the um incident. I move back in a month so this should be interesting. I have taken some precautions; double drywall with green glue between them and have placed green glue where ever my speakers and my fancy new sub will be placed. Awesome! Just sent you an email through your craigslist ad.

Joe, you should be able to PM now that you have five posts.

Congrats on the new sub and amp! That Outlaw 2200 is at a great price.

Joe, I absolutely LOVE it. No exaggeration. The thing is awesome.

The first thing that I did when I got it put in place was level match it with the other speakers and try to get the frequency response flat - I say that so you can put the following in perspective (in other words, I didn't have the thing cranked up higher than my other speakers). I watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith sometime soon after I bought it, and when Brad Pitt was driving the dune buggy around, I actually felt it land. That's the first time that I had ever happened. My $700 (in 1998) B&W sub sure as heck never did that. I was sooo excited when that happened. Outside of that, the sonic qualities are great. It's been over a year and I still grin from time to time when I'm watching a movie.

I think that you are in for a real treat when you get those two new toys set up!

Did the pending sale become a sale or is this still out there? Actually, I should just check the craig's list when I get home I suppose.

It's pending but it looks like Joe is pretty serious about this. Waiting to make final arrangements with him.
