Well, im am tired of listening to my G/F F&*%ing B!&$hing about my surround sound when im trying to enjoy a movie. seriously.
This sub is awesome but carries through the entire house form the basement (where my set up is) like you would not believe(she claims it is tearing apart our house...). Im thinking about just getting a 10" sub and a buttkicker for effect or something. anyway its only 9 months old and not abused.. if you can abuse this thing.

im thinking $520 plus shipping the U.S., i still have all the original packaging so there wont be any problems with damage during shipping.

I havent sold any thing on here before but my ebay ID is hopupjunkie if you want a reference.

Have you properly calibrated the subwoofer?

This is sad that a "Girlfriend" can have so much influence. Girlfriends come and go. Subwoofers last a lifetime.

PW

If properly calibrated you can always turn it down some to at least a level the GF can live with. No need to just up a sell it unless you need the money. Personally, I would try to come to some sort of agreement and work it out before just up and selling it. Good luck in whatever you decide. Just thought I would throw this out there.

Cheers,

Phil

Wow. She seems pretty intollerant. Surely you can reach some sort of compromise that's less drastic.

well she said i could have fun on wed and fridays but still,

as far as calibrating i moved the sub all the way around my room 16x27 1.5ft at a time using a spl meter and avia dvd it took like 4 hours problem is i have it to where its pretty much flat from 80hz down, thats why im getting some big towers to do the work down to 50 or lower then i can move the sub to a better location

as far as the girlfriend goes she been around longer, i think were almost legally married from residing together for almost 5yrs..

I've been with my wife for 23 years. Will be married for 10 years this coming November. If she ever told me I couldn't purchase something. Or gave me the "Wife Acceptance Factor" stuff. Or told me I had to get rid of my HT gear. The bunch of speakers I have sitting around doing nothing. The headphones and amps. "MY SUBWOOFER". My collectibles (HO Trains, Dishes, Photos). My boat. Or any of the other junk I have.

That would be the absolute last day of those 23 years.

Mazer - thanks, man. Those two words alone brought such a huge smile to my face. :D
Adam, are you sure it was not the "PW" comment???? That made me laugh as well. Mazer is the man!!!!!!

[Image of light bulb FINALLY turning on.]

AHHHH! I finally cracked the code. I read it and thought, "hmmm, I wonder what 'PW' stands for." Duh.

Mazer is indeed the man. I just wonder if he lets his wife read this stuff. :)

Just out of curiosity, how high is the ceiling in the basement and what kind of ceiling is it? Any chance of you being willing to isolate that room to keep the bass from spilling out? There are some pretty smart guys that like to visit the Room Acoustics forum:

http://forums.audioholics.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10

but I see you've been around for a long time so you probably know that already.
Either way, good luck. :)

And to those of you who wanna make maze president for his contributions here;
I hope single life agrees with you. :D
Just 'cause he can pull it off doesn't mean everybody can. Think man, think!

the ceiling is 8ft high and is finished with 1/4" wooden planks, with nothing behind them, ive thought about getting something but it so damn expensive.and i really wonder how well it would actually work

Fantastic! :) Anything you do would be an improvement for sound proofing. Expensive? Maybe. Gotta be cheaper than a new girl. Consider what a new girl would run you and put 1/2 into sound proofing. Would that make you feel like you put money in your pocket?

Anyways, the real talent is over at Room Acoustics.
