Bottom line... it's a $50 cable with $400 in mystique. With our collective heads together, I think we could come up with 100 more sold just like it that no one would ever say boo about.
I'm not sure I follow? Denon is certainly the only company that makes a cable called Denon-Link. But if you want to use Denon-Link on any of Denon's products, you can simply use any cat 6 cable. That's what I want to know!
Does Blue Jeans Cable make this Denon-Link cable?
Does Monoprice make this Denon-Link cable?
Does Monster make this Denon-Link cable?
Does Wal-Mart or Best Buy make this Denon-Link cable?
Or is Denon the ONLY company in the world who makes this Denon-Link cable?
Oh,***hee***hee***I'm not sure I follow? Denon is certainly the only company that makes a cable called Denon-Link. But if you want to use Denon-Link on any of Denon's products, you can simply use any cat 6 cable.
Not that huge.Do you not think that the mark-up in electronics isn't huge?![]()
I thought you were joking. I just couldn't tell within the context of your post. I agree though...there is not much else to be said.Oh,***hee***hee***![]()
But those whoppers are still damn tasty though...i'll have a poutine fries with thatWe're all talking "fraud" and big evil terms like that. How bout someone start a thread about Burger King? In all my years... I have never once got a Whopper that looked like the one on the tv commercial. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!!!
Makes me think of that endless fish sandwich thread from wendy's lolWe're all talking "fraud" and big evil terms like that. How bout someone start a thread about Burger King? In all my years... I have never once got a Whopper that looked like the one on the tv commercial. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!!!
Could this also apply to other consumer marketplaces? Say homeopathic stuff?Yet, how can we ignore the fact that the exotic cable companies are making buckets of cash? .
You know what they say about straying to the dark sideExcellent point!
Would you guys rather have Denon (D&M) be sold to Best Buy?
D&M needs to fix their financial state. Apparently they are in some slight trouble. They need to put more cash flow into the company.
I won't be buying these $500 cables, but I won't mind seeing Bill Gate buying them either.
Let's keep the money in D&M, instead of Monster, Kimber, Vampire Wire, and every other Snake-oil cable company, so that D&M can continue to crank out excellent products.
Monster to Denon: "Join me, and together we can rule the cable market as father and son."You know what they say about straying to the dark sideA little bit here, a little bit there and before you know it, you are all the way in.
Wow man.... your pills! It's only a thread!Shame on denon are you kidding me? If you don't like the 500 dollar cable don't buy it. If you like their reasonable priced well made recievers buy one. End of story. It's my money if I want to spend it on a $500 cat 5 cable that just makes me rich or stupid. Not to consider a denon reciever because I don't like them selling a cat 5 cable for$500, dollars just makes me STUPID!!

Thanks, Jamie! Misery is my muse, and I'm just getting over a hot house combined with sleep deprivation.Again with the witty comebacks. Adam you are on fire today! LOL![]()
If Mark Levinson, McIntosh, Krell, etc. were to sell cables for $500 each, no one would say anything.
Theyre' not. They're 'pissed off' (and amused, see the amazon comments) that a formerly reputable audio company is selling snake oil and indulging in ridiculous and misleading advertising.... yeah I get it, but why is everyone pissed because there's people willing to pay too much for something.
