Attached please find a few pics of my new HT room.... some background.... room is 13 X 17; and the first pic. you see is the room exactly how it was when we purchased the house (4/08)... the subsequent pics are the current room (6/08). Apologize for my camera skills! All that is left to do is the trim work around the cut outs on my front stage. ( I will also be adding acoustically transparent speaker cloth over the openings where my speakers are placed. This is my first dedicated HT room and overall I am pleased with the finished product. BTW.... My gear is listed in my sig

(If you notice the first pic there was a built in; this was removed completely and I took one pier and moved it to the MR kitchen.... it was installed on the wall in the kitchen.... so my gear is out of sight; which is perfect given my room size; PIC 915).

How is that working out, with the speakers sort of quasi-built in? Does it get boomy or muddled? Typically, speakers are moved out and away from boundaries for better sound dispersion. You might get better results by removing the partial wall around the speakers and leaving the entire front section open behind the screen, just something to consider.

I placed the speakers and sub where I did mainly due to the size constraints of my room.... I did not want to take up any more space than I needed to. So far, the speakers actually sound pretty good although I am still messing with some calibrations.

I agree. I think you would get more positive feedback if you redid the photos and placed them on a site like webshots or photobucket.

It is hard to comment when you can not see what you are looking at.
