yamaha ns-555 vs ns-777

i have been looking at speakers for a while and as i am a college student wanted some relatively inexpensive speakers that had good sound to them... i have a yamaha home theatre system (home theatre in box) and love it so i figured i would go with them again and started looking at there speakers and have narrowed it down to the ns-777 and ns-555 i found the ns-777 surprisingly for cheaper than the ns-555 but have been reading reviews that dont sound as good as the reviews for the ns-555 so i figure i would ask some real sound geeks if you will (i would love to be a sound geek so please dont take that offensively :-D) so please let me know what you think between these two

the 777 should definitely have more output than the 555. but if you are going to use a subwoofer anyway (and if the 555 is cheaper, why not get the one that is cheaper)

but if you don't plan on getting a sub anytime soon, I'd go for the 777. ignore the reviews listen to them yourself if you can.

thanks! yea i cant really listen to them around where i live... i have called all the high end places and they dont carry them but i actually found the ns-777 cheaper but liked the reviews for the ns-555 better but i think i will go with the ns-777
