My Aunt is asking me for help in suggesting some Hoem Theater Pieces for her.
She isn't very tech savvy so I am posting for her.

My Aunt's basement is 14' x 12 by 8' high.

Request:

Speakers
Budget: $1, 000
Preferred In-wall or In-ceiling, smallest possible.
Needs 5.1 system (Whole Thing needed. Center, Front, Subs, Surround)
Does NOT need a Receiver. (I think she is planning to get a Onkyo 605 as her budget for a AV Receiver is <$500 I think)
This is PRIORITY Item to get as the room is being put together and needs it bought and received this week!
Any suggestions on where to buy it will be appreciated also.
Willing to pay extra for expedited shipping, local stores even better but doubt CC/BB might have them.

HD TV
Budget: $3,000
Biggest & Best Possible HD TV for Home Theater.
Which is best for this room setup? (Plasma/LCD/Projector)
TV Will ONLY be used for Home Theater use and the room will be dark, no windows in the basement and lights turned off when in use.)
Not a Priority buy at this time, can be bought in a week or 2.

I guess I may add this one.

AV Receiver
Think my Aunt is eyeing the Onkyo 605 for the value.
Budget: < $500 but can be persuaded if someone can tell her why soemthing more expensive will be better/worth it.

Everything is for Home Theater use for her basement that she is building NOW as her Home Theater.

For a dedicated theater room without light problems, I'd sure take a good long look at front projection.

I'd also consider expanding my budget, especially for in-walls, as they're hard to swap out - an extra $1000 invested in speakers & sub(s) works out to about 25 cents per day over the next 10 years, and speakers can last well beyond that.

Forget in-walls or in-ceilings for her budget.

IMO this is one of the best budget systems on the market today.

What would you suggest then?

Please keep it coming!
We got a deadline and I need to gather as much intel as possible and pass it on lol.

Are you doing the install or is it going to be contracted, and included in the budgets?

And just in case you didn't see it. The SVS speakers are wall mountable. So you have the flexibility to use stands, or just hang them on the wall. :D
