Reputation question

Sorry if this is a repeat...did a search and didn't find anything.

Is there a way to see a list of members to whom we've given rep points? I just tried to give some points to someone who I think makes consistently good comments, and it said that I need to spread some points around before giving that person anymore. I don't remember giving that member any...but my memory sucks. Maybe it was counting "Thanks" and making me wait.

Anyone know if we can check that? Thanks!

I don't think there is a way, at least I haven't figured it out yet.

I agree, that's happened to me a few times as well. However, it's a good thing to keep the amount of thanks and rep points from being completely free from limitation. Take a look at the negative effect it might have. Say a member decides they just don't like you and starting handing you negative points on every post you make.;)

Totally agree, Seth! I'd just like to be able to check on who I've given points to lately.

Eventually you figure out who gives you the blank negatives, and with the power we poses, well, there is no saving them.

this is how it works AFAIK:

for one specific post:
-you can add rep, then thank them
-you can thank them first, but can't add rep for that specific post

you can try to remove the thanks, then add rep, then thank again.

for different posts:
-you can thank a person's many posts, but can still add rep for posts you haven't thanked yet.

if you had rep'ed a person, but didn't rep anyone after that (or too few) ... even if an X amount of time passes by, you still can't rep that person again ... you really do have to pass around the reps.

Thanks, Mike. I appreciate the details. Good stuff to know.

I'm aware of the spreading-rep-around rule, and I agree with it. I just can't remember who I've given rep to, so I'd like to be able to see a list of it.
