I don't think I ever mentioned it, that's really a great looking place and setup. It just looks amazing. Have you changed the overall layout since the original pictures were taken?

Jack
Thanks Jack. We really enjoy it even after all this time. It is just a pleasure to come home and plop in a movie.

Not much has changed since these photos were taken except for the painting covering the screen. We have commissioned an artist to do a VERY large painting (8' x 21') for the art niche above the entryway between the kitchen and the home theater. My wife and I have narrowed down the list of actors\entertainers to about 10 people. Still need to wittle it down to about 6 so the artist can get started. The list includes Marlon Brando, Marilyn Monroe, Sophie Loren, Eva Gardner, Elizabeth Taylor, Humphrey Bogart, Katherine Hepburn, Joan Crawford, and a few I can not remember.

I will post photos when the painting is complete.

I have also convinced the wife to allow a wall of acoustic panels to be placed on the study door and all along the bottom of the screen wall. Just need to find the time to gather up the materials to do it. Have been sidetracked with the work on the master bedroom home theater.

I appreciate you taking a moment to appreciate our hard work.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new painting when it's done. Please post some pics for us all to enjoy.

Then what do you do with James Dean? Call him chopped liver?:D

Maybe I should just post a poll and let the Audioholics decide?

Just thought I would drag this to the top.

We are quickly approaching 100,000 visits to my home theater.

Thanks to everyone for taking a look at our hard work.

I'm still impressed with just how well put together your place is, it still truly looks amazing. Did you ever add the painting between the kitchen and living room?

I am glad you like it. We have really enjoyed it and it has been great to share with our friends.

We have not added the painting. It was put on the back burner, along with just about everything else. This economy has really changed our spending habits. With no end in sight, it may be some time before any more work is done on the room.

I know we are not alone in this mess and we hope things improve soon for everyone!

My wife and I share duties in the kitchen. I love to cook and entertain as much as she does. Our guests seem to congregate around the island and so it made sense to give the kitchen as much consideration as the family room. With 100" of screen, it provides a great picture from just about everywhere in both rooms.

Kick *** set up mate
Thanks for saying so. We still enjoy the system every day. Our Christmas party was a success, in no small part to the audio system. Everyone brought their favorite CD's and concert DVD's. And, as usual, all of my musician friends brought their amps, guitars, and electronic drums.

P.S. Webshots is now Smiles and they have screwed up everything. I will have to rebuild on Photobucket but the space limitation is a real problem. Any other sites that have a good service are welcome.

Happy Holidays to you and yours!
