"CONGRATS!!" Just saw the writeup this weekend. When I saw the pics, I said to myself, "I've seen those pics before."

Congratulations!

Only thing missing is the picture of the refrigerator contents, just like they do on MTV Cribs. Got to show off those bottles of Kristal

Thanks mazer. It will be in the March Issue so we are all going to have to wait for the internet release.

Even I have not seen the hard copy. I requested one but have not gotten a response yet.

Congrats Westcott! Your gorgeous home deserves to be published in a magazine .... it looks so very warm and inviting. Just how tall is that ceiling in your HT room?

So whens the party?

SheepStar
As soon as everyone in the Houston area can agree on a date you can be here. I will supply all the beer and popcorn you can consume in one sitting.

Beware, anything other than Belgian Ales will need to be requested ahead of time.

I will even hold private showings if you can make it down here. Just drop me a note.

Thanks again guys and here is the link to the March Issue.

Sorry, Ax man, I did not see your question. The ceilings are 18 foot and continue through the entry of the home. All the windows and open space allowed us to get away with a darker paint without making the room feel dreary or cave like.

Thanks again guys. I really do appreciate the words of encouragement from members here on this site. The above average knowledge base makes your positive comments that more meaningful.

Hope some of you are close enough some day to make it to Houston for a showing!!!!

I love the planted fish tank!
Thanks Slats. I also have a marine reef aquarium in the living room. I love animals and growing corals is a great passion of mine, as well. Probably more than audio\video although it sure has gotten a priority lately.

Do you have an aquarium?

Well, have made a few additions and some minor changes so I thought I would post some updated photos of the new equipment. I also moved the Denon 910 DVD Player upstairs in the master bedroom to accompany the new Panasonic 42" Plasma I bought for my wife (at least, that is what I tell her). This explains the almost empty spot where the Impact Acoustics HDMI switch currently sits. Also aquired a Sanus AV rack and a Klipsch RC7 to augment the system upstairs. I still need a new 5.1 receiver (my Technics is only Dolby Surround).

This was also a blatant opportunity to drag this up back to the top for those who have not had a chance to see our home theater.

Thanks Audioholics for a great site and thanks to everyone who has provided input over the years.

It would be a nice touch, especially for someone without a view of the home theater from the kitchen, but it seemed a little redundant with a 100" screen visible from the kitchen (another reason for mounting the screen a little higher).

I'm glad my wife saw it my way. The cost difference for that little 15" screen is considerable.

Mazer, have you ever thought of being an interior decorator? They always seem to find the most expensive upgrade one can find too!!!!

I don't think I ever mentioned it, that's really a great looking place and setup. It just looks amazing. Have you changed the overall layout since the original pictures were taken?
